REPORT ON LIBRARY CORNER – BOOK REVIEW ACTIVITY
Classes: VI to VIII
Activity Prepared By: Nidhi Ma’am
In-charges: Sarfaraz Sir and Saman Ma’am
The Library Corner – Book Review Activity was organised at LDC Public School, Prayagraj, with enthusiastic participation from students of Classes III to VIII. The activity aimed to develop a love for reading, improve comprehension and communication skills, and encourage students to reflect on the books they read.
As part of the activity, students selected books, read them carefully, and prepared brief reviews highlighting the stories, characters, key ideas, and lessons they learned. They presented their reviews along with their books and written work. A dedicated Library Corner display was also arranged to showcase the students’ book reviews and make reading more engaging and accessible.
The activity provided students with an opportunity to express their thoughts, share reading experiences, and learn from one another’s choices. It helped nurture creativity, confidence, critical thinking, vocabulary, and the habit of independent reading. The participation of students across Classes III to VIII made the activity an encouraging and meaningful learning experience.
The activity was prepared by Nidhi Ma’am and conducted under the guidance and supervision of Sarfaraz Sir and Saman Ma’am. Their efforts helped create a positive reading environment and encouraged students to explore books beyond their regular classroom lessons.
Conclusion: The Library Corner – Book Review Activity was a valuable initiative to promote reading habits and student expression. It reinforced the idea that books are a source of knowledge, imagination, and lifelong learning.
